Frameless describes how little metal is around the glass. The door can still be hinged, pivoting, or sliding. A quote that only says frameless is incomplete until the operation and the glass thickness are known.
Glass thickness is part of the specification because the hardware is sized to it. This site does not assign a default thickness.

- Domestic collections: 8 mm or 10 mm tempered glass. Eastern listings add clear or frosted.
- Hardware finishes named: chrome, brushed silver or nickel, matte black, and oil-rubbed bronze.
- Hardware material named: corrosion-resistant stainless or aluminum.
- Wall profiles for out-of-plumb adjustment are a stated feature of the domestic doors.
- GlassShield is the name of an optional film on the eastern collection, described as bonded to tempered glass so pieces stay together if the glass breaks.

- HX421-CH is the only model number printed on the import list that was reviewed.

No. Frameless is the amount of metal. The door still needs an operation: hinge, pivot, or slide.
What finish should I send?
The hardware finish on the schedule, such as the metal color already specified. Do not leave it as dealer choice if the documents name it.
