Commercial Windows
Double-Hung Commercial Windows
Both the upper and lower sashes travel vertically.
A double-hung window lets either sash move. That is the distinction from single-hung. Commercial schedules use double-hung units where the elevation or the window type mark calls for two operating sashes.
Balances, meeting-rail latches, and tilt-in cleaning sashes are quoted only when the specification asks for them. This page does not assign a default balance type.

Questions
Before you price this item.
What makes a window double-hung?
Both sashes operate. A window with only a moving lower sash is single-hung.
Do you publish a U-factor for these windows?
No. Performance values belong to the specified product and the glazing schedule, which should be sent with the quote.
